NOORI hosts Awareness Session on “Climate Change and its Impacts on Everyday Life” at Karachi Press Club
NOORI, a social startup committed to women’s empowerment and community development, hosted an engaging and informative awareness session on “Climate Change and its Impacts on Everyday Life” on Saturday, June 28, at the Karachi Press Club.
Nasir Ali Panhwar, an award-winning Environmental & Climate Specialist, who was the keynote speaker, shared valuable insights on the pressing climate challenges facing Pakistan and the world, and how everyday actions contribute to environmental sustainability. His thought-provoking talk shed light on the urgent need for climate literacy and individual responsibility in combating climate change.

The session was facilitated by Nasir Aijaz, a respected senior journalist and author, who underscored the importance of holding such platforms to raise public awareness on urgent issues like climate change.
Pirah Aijaz, the trainer, writer, and the founder of NOORI, shared the vision behind the organization and the impactful initiatives it has led so far. She emphasized that real change begins at the grassroots, and community-driven awareness is key to building a more sustainable and informed society.
The event brought together a diverse audience, including university students, professionals, small business owners, and founders of various startups and organizations. Their participation reflected a growing interest and commitment within the public to understand and address the environmental issues affecting daily life.
NOORI, organized the event in collaboration with Karachi Press Club, Shetech Global, Zaroon Foundation, Fatima Jamal Memorial Welfare Organization, Home Aura, Nauratan Herbals, Nutribite, Dreams by Sarwat, Shahnaz Pro Hub, Pizzay, Yoga with Sadaf KT, Frag Force, The Weaving Seeds, Fitness Studio, Smile – School of Training, and Areesa Style.
As a token of appreciation, commemorative shields were presented to the supportive partners to recognize their dedication to community empowerment and climate action.
