The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates is hosting a reception today, Wednesday, at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, to mark the 74th anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution.
The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, Essam Ashour, affirmed that Egyptian-UAE relations today represent an exceptional model of Arab relations, having evolved over decades of joint cooperation and mutual trust from deeply rooted fraternal ties into a comprehensive strategic partnership that has become one of the most established, mature, and influential models of Arab cooperation.

Speaking ahead of the reception hosted by the Embassy today, Ambassador Ashour said that this enduring national occasion provides an opportunity to reflect on the journey of the modern Egyptian state and the achievements it has made in nation-building, institutional renewal, strengthening national capabilities, and consolidating the foundations of The New Republic, reflecting Egypt’s ability to continue its development, overcome challenges, and move confidently toward the future.
He added that his address during the celebration will highlight the profound national significance of the July 23 Revolution as a pivotal milestone in the history of the Egyptian state. It will also shed light on Egypt’s ongoing journey of development and modernization, as well as its rich civilizational, humanitarian, and cultural heritage, which has made Egypt throughout history an influential force within its Arab and regional surroundings and a key partner in supporting security, stability, and development.
Ambassador Essam Ashour noted that Egyptian-UAE relations will constitute the central theme of his speech, emphasizing that these relations are rooted in a deep historical legacy established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, whose name will forever remain in the hearts of the Egyptian people for his sincere and historic fraternal support for Egypt and its people.
He explained that this remarkable relationship has continued to flourish under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and his brother, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Over the past decade, relations between the two countries have witnessed an unprecedented qualitative transformation, evolving from close cooperation into a comprehensive strategic partnership distinguished by the convergence of visions, the diversity of areas of cooperation, and a high level of political coordination, making it one of the strongest and most influential Arab partnerships.
Ambassador Essam Ashour stressed that the uniqueness of Egyptian-UAE relations is not measured solely by the scale of cooperation between the two countries, but also by the exceptional nature of the relationship itself, founded on mutual trust, deep-rooted respect, a shared vision on regional and international issues, and a common belief that the security, stability, and prosperity of both Egypt and the UAE constitute a fundamental pillar for the stability of the region as a whole.
He added that cooperation between the two countries continues to grow across the political, economic, investment, developmental, and cultural fields, reflecting the shared determination of the leaderships of both nations to elevate this relationship to even broader horizons and build a partnership that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples while contributing to security, development, and joint Arab action.
