The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club concluded the sailing race yesterday on the Abu Dhabi Breakwater, which included nine categories, with the participation of 65 sailors from the club's academy, as part of its plans to develop the skills of juniors and youth.
The race was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, and Sheikha Shamsa bint Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
Hamad Al Muhairi won the Optimist Junior category, Khalifa Al Rumaithi won the Optimist category, Simon Christoff won the ILCA 4 Junior category, and Abdullah Al Zubaidi won the ILCA 4 Youth category.
Marwa Al Hammadi won the ILCA 4 Girls category, Majid Al Marzouqi won the ILCA 6 Junior category, Othman Al Hammadi won the ILCA 6 Youth category, and Duha Al Bishr won the ILCA 6 Girls category.
The winners were crowned by Nasser Al Dhaheri, Acting Director of the Marine Sports Department, and Khalifa Al Saadi, Head of the Club's Academy.
