As part of the cultural and intellectual engagement aimed at strengthening bridges of civilizational dialogue between the United Arab Emirates and international academic institutions, the Catholic University in Italy hosted a book signing ceremony for two titles: “His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan… Insights into the Journey of a Man of Humanity” and “The Document on Human Fraternity Towards Peaceful Coexistence and a World Free of Conflict,” both authored by H.E. Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research.

The event witnessed strong attendance and notable interest from the audience, who engaged deeply with the intellectual content of both books and were keen to obtain signed copies from the author.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Abdullah Ali Al-Subousi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Rome; Professor Antonio Gasparini, Dean of the Catholic University in Rome; Professor Abdallah Raweh, internationally renowned cardiac surgeon, Honorary President of the University of Salerno (Italy), Vice President of the University of Lugano (Switzerland), and Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the Catholic University of Rome; Daniele Piacentini, Director of Gemelli Medical Center; Professor Marco Ciccozzi, Consultant at Gemelli Medical Center; along with a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and university faculty members.

Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi expressed his sincere appreciation to the administration of the Catholic University and the organizers for their excellent organization and warm hospitality, praising the university’s intellectual role in promoting humanistic thought and fostering intercultural dialogue.

In his speech, he emphasized that the book “His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan… Insights into the Journey of a Man of Humanity” represents the culmination of a profound intellectual and research experience, driven by a genuine national motivation to introduce new generations to the journey of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his pivotal role in achieving the comprehensive development witnessed by the country. He described the book as the most significant work in his intellectual and research career, and one of the most prominent contributions to contemporary humanistic literature.

Al-Suwaidi further explained that the book documents the national journey of the UAE President, from his early beginnings in the Armed Forces to leading the nation’s comprehensive development, highlighting the system of human values he upholds, which has contributed to positioning the UAE as a global capital of tolerance and coexistence.

He also noted that the book “The Document on Human Fraternity Towards Peaceful Coexistence and a World Free of Conflict” provides a solid intellectual foundation for the concept of peaceful coexistence in Islam, and showcases the UAE’s pioneering experience in promoting the values of tolerance and rapprochement among peoples and religions. The book also addresses the exceptional efforts undertaken by the UAE to support peace, stability, and development at both regional and international levels.

He added that the book presents a comprehensive strategic vision that includes practical mechanisms for implementing the principles of the Human Fraternity Document, based on a firm belief that tolerance represents the most civilized path to addressing religious, ethnic, and sectarian conflicts, and to preventing the recurrence of historical tragedies that have claimed millions of lives.
