European Commission allocates additional €50 million in humanitarian funding for Gaza, West Bank

In response to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Gaza and the West Bank, the European Commission has allocated an additional €50 million in humanitarian funding, bringing total assistance in 2025 to €170 million.

A statement from the European Commission in Brussels said the money will allow humanitarian partners on the ground to boost aid supplies to civilians in need.

At the same time, the Commission has allocated an additional €20 million in humanitarian aid funding, bringing the total of humanitarian aid to Syria for 2025 to €202.5 million.

This will support basic needs, such as food and health. An additional €13 million was also allocated to Lebanon to support the most vulnerable Syrian refugees and Lebanese, including in conflict-affected areas.
